MAU Joël

Joël Mau is a senior engineer and a FTTH advocate and advisor. Joël Mau was elected Board member of the FTTH Council Europe in April 2014. Since 2011, Joël has been a Mission Director in charge of fibre at “Institut Mines-Télécom”, a public institution dedicated to higher education, research and innovation in engineering and digital technologies. The "Institut Mines-Telécom" is member of the FTTH Council since 2009. Joël is leading the “Recommendations for Fibre Commons”*. RFC is a collective, independent and neutral cross disciplinary initiative aimed to enlighten private and public decision-makers in France and in Europe to the digital transformation of the society. In 2009, Joël was appointed Director of the high-speed Broadband Market and Local Authority Relations department at ARCEP, the French national regulation authority. From 1988 to 2009, he worked for France Telecom (now Orange), the French incumbent, and held various technical and managerial positions. * Commons refers
